Based on 174 reviewsFillmore Street Cafe is recognized as a welcoming neighborhood spot in the Fillmore district, popular for its cozy atmosphere and accommodating staff. Customers appreciate the cafe as an ideal place for both casual visits and working or studying, supported by a friendly environment and reliable service. The menu, while somewhat limited, offers quality items including breakfast options, sandwiches, and coffee, with particular praise for their homemade and wholesome feel. Pricing is generally viewed as reasonable, though some snacks are noted as slightly pricey. Overall, the cafe stands out for its community vibe, consistent customer care, and convenient location, making it a favored choice for locals seeking a comfortable and reliable cafe experience.
The Fillmore and Japantown really need more breakfast spots, and Fillmore Street cafe does fill that niche a bit. They’ve got a fairly limited menu, but do make a nice omelette.
Pretty good coffee, very reasonable prices, great place to work, good place to study. Have spent some great moments in this cafe and will always be grateful. The host is always very welcoming and gracious, and gave me water like 5 times even though I just bought one coffee and stayed for a 2 hours-long meeting. The snacks are not inexpensive, but they taste good. There is also a beautiful area outside, but it gets extremely chilly in the winters.However:-It can get loud, might not for you for studying if you like quiet, library-like environments.-The restroom is a little smelly.-There are a bunch of people smoking and gambling post 7:30pm, in case that bothers you.
I just recently relocated to the area, and although there are many spots to choose from I just love this cafe. There are always people sitting in the cafe visiting, watching a soccer or football game, and the workers are so nice. I am always making "special" orders (modifications like no cheese, no dairy. etc) and the staff has always welcomed these requests and exceeded my expectations while making my order with care. It feels like you popped into a friend or family member's house to grab a bite/ coffee. I will be coming here often!
Everyone is very nice and it's an easy spot to work from
One of the neighborhood gems in the Fillmore district. Great location right if Eddy and Fillmore. Awesome bagals, coffee, sandwiches and anything in between. It's got a homemade, wholesome vibe to this place and not too mention the fantastic service. If you have not tried this place out, it's about time!
Delicious vegan veggie bagel with coffee! This is my 2nd breakfast here, and I'll definitely come back for more!
The Ful is out of this world, fresh, well seasoned, nutritious
A great place to stop for bite to eat. The smell emanating from their kitchen in the early morning is like something out of story books. The restaurant is locally owned and ran, and they have an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has that old fashioned diner feel, with pieces of hand drawn artwork on the walls. Highly recommend.
